Let's talk Cherish

People tend to treat "outsiders", people they aren't close with, better. Why? I think it's because they are scared of being judged, and they know that those people won't understand them.
Conversely, they treat "insiders", those closest to them not as well, they tend to neglect them. Why? I think it's because they know that they won't be judged, that those close to them will understand.
This isn't right, but I can understand why it happens so often. We always fall into the comfort of relaxation knowing that we don't need to put in as much effort for those close to us as we won't be judged and that they will understand. However, is it really worth it? Shouldn't we put even more effort, or take the effort we put in for "outsiders" to treat those close to us better? After all, they are the ones who deserve it the most.
